Does walmart have the right to....
    #21297083 -

Does walmart have the right to tell a person who is a Satanist that they have to conform to dress code??

It clearly states in my religious doctrine that no one has the right to take away anything that pertains to my individuality.

Also if they force me to adhere to this policy can I sue?

I work there. lol.

Seriously though, I stock shelves on overnights and most of all it's just a grocery store. I think it's wrong that we have to wear khakis, a blue polo shirt and a spark vest. All of this is out of pocket except the vest as well.

Also if you're cold you have to wear the damn vest over your sweater or jacket and if it doesn't fit over your winter clothes you have to buy a new sweater or jacket and if don't buy one they send you home w/o pay. Not to mention if you have long hair or a hood on your coat it can't cover the spark.

Last time I checked I didn't live in Nazi Germany. wtf.

I'm serious though. This is bullshit given the extent that they are enforcing this. Anymore it seems like companies want people to be the fucking Borg or something and I feel we as Americans need to put our foot down because we live in 2015 not the 50's anymore.

Wearing khakis is not against your religion. I bet you are just some silly goth kid.

Man the economic must be really good where you are at .

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

I believe most place of employment (especially private entities) can enforce a dress code.  It is not unfair and/or discrimination because it applies to everyone.

In public establishments I find this reasonable, as I could see customers hesitant to shop at a place staffed by satanists.

I'm genuinely curious though, OP.  What kind of clothes does a satanist wear in observance of their religion?

You seriously want to sue your employer because you don't want to wear their uniforms? While I agree that uniforms can suck and be uncomfortable, I'd never think about suing.

It's a serious question. It's just like telling a Hasidic Jew that he has to shave his sideburns.
