Mushroom gossip: Can anyone answer this?
    #2129102 -

I just got my latest copy of Fungi Perfecti's catalog. On the cover is a cute kid named "Cedar" with what look like blue eyes and blonde hair. It looks like Cedar is about 2 years old.

Who is it?

I heard Stamets divorced his wife and hooked up with a much younger woman with blonde hair. Could this be their kid? One of his grandkids?

This has really been bothering me.

A lot.

Also, is this the proper forum or should this be in Support Group Central?

PS You guys rock!

MM

To ease your mind I will say "Yes, that is his new love interests kid"

in reality...I have no idea who you are reffering to, and only said the above to put your mind at ease.

Paul Stamets is the owner/founder of Fungi Perfecti, the most known and largest supplier of mushroom stuff in the world. His wife helped him build it from the ground up and its over 20 years old.

Then, he dumps her for some sweet young thang. I pretty much lost all respect for him after that.

And Alounacara, all his other kids have weirdo names too, like "Azure".

I am aching to know if he got the girl pregnant.

You chatty ho.. concerning yourself with silly gossip!

I have no idea who the kid is - but I have read a few comments over the past two years about Stamets' ego bein' a bit inflated.  It's too bad, but I still have mad respect for his accomplishments (although it would suck if he just ditched his life parter to chase something small and furry down a rabbit hole :frown: ).. o yea, and TMC rocks

Yeah Geo, I'm just a gossip hound.

Paul is a weird case.  On the one hand he has a powerful ego and on the other hand he is extremely embarrassed that he doesn't have a degree in mycology, even with all of his accomplishments.

He definitely had an affair.  That's all I know.

Stay tuned for any updates.

Cheers,

MM

Aw relax 40.  We all make judgment calls or you couldn't have said what you just did.

And by the way, I forgot to mention:

She's REALLY hot!

I also heard that the judge gave his ex half the business.  Serves him right.

All of Paul's children have been featured in most of his Funghi Pefectii catalogues. I have the catalogues dating back to when Azure was two or three years old in the catalogue. ANd his wife Cruz also graced many of the catalogues as well as his other children. They have always been in the catalogues since Paul started printing them.

I kind of thought of so John. So I guess that even while all of Paul's kids have been on the covers not all of of Cruz's were.

No, wait. They were.

For those who don't know Cruz, Paul's ex is past childbearing age.

Thanks for the info.
