Amazing Jazz Fusion Group (Dimension)

I came across this group randomly earlier, they are a Japan based Jazz fusion group called Dimension, and they put out some amazing impressive stuff. Such nice fusion, and they have 25 albums already, I have not heard a bad song yet. Here is one of my favorites so far, it is called "Our Inspiration"

Well they are mainly a trio, with a drum n bass backer from what I gather. So some songs are pretty sax oriented and others are more guitar or keys. I think they all have a solid blend of it all though.

Here is one of my favorites I have come across:

By the way, I see you are in the PNW.  If you dig jazz fusion, Herbie Hancock and friggin Chick Corea are going to be at The Paramount March 14.

This is one of my all time favorite fusion groups, musicianship is off the charts.

Akira Onazuka is the keyboard player.  He also played with Greg Howe, Dennis Chambers, and Tetsuo Sakurai--the best fucking bass player on this planet--with gentle hearts....


Oh and Dennis Chambers is arguably the best drummer on the planet....

I do live within a couple hours of portland so I may have to look into that. I am trying to save money though so I have not been going out to concerts at all lately. Thought there is a solid amount of tempting ones coming up, in my town alone. I just missed Particle the other night which is a pretty interesting synth driven fusion band. Lots of mice bluegrass coming up too. Thanks for the heads up though man, I will definitely look into it.

And I will check that song out when I get back from walking my dog in a little.

yea, i just ordered that fucker off Amazon!  I got Greg Howe's first two albums, the 2nd one, High Gear Two, is wicked good melodic metal music.

There we go, that's more like it.  Spyro Gyra, never heard of them before.  The bass is awesome!!!!!!!!  There ain't much for bass in Dimension, I can't really get crazy into it.  I gotta have funky bass.  Weather Report, Jaco Pastorius style bass.
