Yes, all couples fight. Not all couples hit each other.

and yet a slap is still not abuse. verbal abuse exists too; you know that right? so when couples fight verbally, should it be automatically considered abuse?

get back to me, dawg.

So basically your stance is:

Woman physically abuses man: Cry more you fucking pussy. Deal with it like a man.

Man physically abuses woman: You woman abuser!!!

That about sum it up?

i was speaking rhetorically. i was saying that most couples fight, having a relationship is a learning process. especially a serious one.

again, read better.

most couples argue, not fight

read above. most arguing couples don't say that an argument is verbal abuse, though some idiots do. same goes for a single slap. some idiots think that a single slap is tantamount to abuse. it's not. just like an argument isn't tantamount to verbal abuse.

see the difference yet? no? continue prattling on, then.

no. but good confirmation bias.

if you COULD read: it'd be more like

  • Women physically abuses man: is it a single slap? then take it. if it's a consistent thing: drop her ass, in a preferably non-violent way

Men physically abuses women: is it a single slap? then take it. if it's a consistent thing: drop his ass, in a preferably non-violent way

i am aware.

PS: What Would You Do? LOL, that's your argument?

k, yes, people don't often do what they should do, but sometimes do. yep. that's pretty much my point.

the person you are in a relationship with isn't a stranger. make them one if you cant handle the fact that you got slapped. don't have them arrested because of your ego.
oh and it's not, because it's not. i's not an advocate, it's an EXPLANATION. again READ what the fucking WORD means.

being in a relationship with someone doesnt mean they have the right to

assault me any more than I have the right to assault them, this has nothing
to do with ego, it has to do with having the right to be treated with
dignity, not like a punching bag

your "explanation" seems to be you explaining why domestic battery should be accepted

Quote:
a single slap is not "abuse" it's a "crime of passion" if anything. get your terms correct.

and crimes of passion are also things such as "murder". a single slap is in
fact abuse, it is in fact a criminal act and you're suggesting people stay
with abusers... maybe I should ask, when is it OK for me to slap someone
that I'm in a relationship with?

Quote:
and i think i already said that one should leave the relationship if they either A: can't handle a slap or B: are looking for a more mature relationship (good for you)

you sure seem to be giving mixed signals, you're saying that people should
stay together in abusive relationships but if they cant handle being
slapped around then they should leave but that clearly shows their have ego
issues so they should stay because they're in a relationship

Quote:
Quote:
so, in order to be men, men must be violent toward a woman that gets angry
and men want to ensure that this cant happen to them so they've passed laws
that allow men to be arrested for slapping women and now men are women and
everyone is slap happy and they need to deal with it so that we can have
couples

in order to be men as men see men: yes.

but that's changed. deal with it.

so you're advocating that people stay in physically abusive relationships

what would be a reasonable cause to slap a woman?

never. like i said how many times now? i'm explaining it. not advocating it. a single slap SHOULDN'T get some one sent away, BECAUSE it happens so much TO PEOPLE WHO KEEP, ENDEAR TO, AND EVENTUALLY KEEP AS REAL RELATIONSHIPS. because they grow up. if they just were all sent to prison, there would BE NO GROWING UP.

an argument isn't verbal abuse, but VERBAL ABUSE DOES HAPPEN, when a person in the relationship is verbally assaulting the person to the point of abuse. this is the same logic. a slap isn't abuse, until someone says it is. some people LIKE getting slapped. your whole argument is facetious.

Thats my problem when it somes to discussions about race here.  People don't even have a firm grasp of what racism is.  They seem to think it is a collection of anecdotes rather than some part of our nature that shows itself in an ugly, anti-social way.

no, i don't.

and you aren't getting slapped, so you saying slapping is abuse is irrelevant. i also never claimed it wasn't abuse... here's an interesting fact, i would. but i am not getting slapped, am i?

some people should expect to get slapped, if they are immature. someone else shouldn't have to be worried about going to jail because some immature fucknut pushed them enough where they felt they needed to smack them across the lips.oh and they wouldn't, because as i've said, this is usually a passionate interchange... not a usually well regarded and thought out instance.

imagine all the guys back in 30's, 40's, 50's, that DIDN'T get jailed, and that CONSTANTLY slapped their wives. now think about the fact that this is still happening, and i can tell you, it's not just because girls are slapping first.

it's because a person sometimes has a inordinate reaction to something, which causes them to slap sometimes whom they love. when your mom slapped you as a child, should she have been arrested?

this is just you and your usual slippery slope, Pris. go get laid. you'll see after awhile, that you cannot maintain a relationship. it's probably because of your crazed and unrealistic expectations.

PS: i don't care anymore. you keep saying i'm for physical abuse, which is hyperbole to highest degree.

you've said repeatedly that a slap is not abuse

Quote:

Quote:
why not just walk out if shit is to that point? clearly it's an abusive
relationship, maybe on both parts, one pushing the buttons and the other
getting physically violent, it's obvious that when it's to that extreme
that the relationship isnt going to work but the way I see things, why
should I be assaulted because of someone elses hot temper. why shouldnt
that person go to jail?

Quote:

yeah, imagine all the women that stayed with their abusive partners because
it was the accepted norm and the man wasnt going to jail, imagine how many
trips to the doctors women have made to get some stitches, burns or broken
bones taken care of because at that time it rarely ever ended with a slap,
imagine how many women and men have lost their lives due to physical abuse
that all started with a slap

do you see a difference between children and adults?
