Hey MudaFuka
I enjoyed your posts.. and the bottle tek.
Check out "Tortilla Tek" for another idea of some other novelty approaches to try.

oops... I think I hit reply on the wrong post... MudaFuka
I wanted to say I enjoy your posts and that you said you try novelty grows because you get bored easily. Take a look at my Tortilla Tek - just for giggles.

That's pretty cool. Ill give it a shot but I'll likely throw a twist in there like making a burrito full of grain spawn.

Then the customers eat the burrito and poop the spawn out and the shrooms grow in their drain fields!

ok here is an update on my wbs 1 quart slurry. 2 pins began to form today. i see a bunch of knots also. no signs of contamination. you can find images on the log below from the op in this thread.

http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/20975749#20975749

the image below this paragraph is one of the 1 pint wbs to 1 pint water slurry tubs. it began to fruit in one tub. so i want to show you the failed attempt. although they did not fully colonize they did not contaminate. it is quite funny actually. i hope to get the recipe to get decent yield on the next go around. im going to make some water volume adjustments as well. this substrates moisture content is a little low. so i think that will ruin the yield. but if it will grow ill make the adjustment on the next trial.
here is the failed attempt that didnt colonize the sub 100% this has 1 pint wbs grain slurry to 1 pint volume water. this was slurried into 10 quarts cvg.

This is really cool...
I wish I could take as casual approach to growing out in the open. I grow many different plants and love to cultivate, nurture, and watch things grow and unfold in their natural beauty. The ol' shrooms hold the same fascination yet due to some silly laws it just isn't ok to grow like this unless you have a lot of privacy.
Enjoy and thanks for sharing your beautiful project.

You can grow and nurture all the oyster, lions mane, shiitake, portobello... etc that you want in the open. But that wouldn't be any fun now would it :smirk:

Oh buddy - this is awesome!  I've been wanting to try something like this for a while!  I have a few planted terrariums with dart frogs and have been thinking about something similar.

The plants help I imagine? That could be an air stone i the back but I'm fairly certain it is not.

--------------------
An old man and his grandson are sitting by the fire outside the tepee, wrapped in furs and gazing into the leaping flames. High on a snowy ridge, a wolf howls at the moon and another answers from far away. Soon after, the old man removes the pipe from his mouth.

‘Grandson,’ he says. ‘There are two wolves inside you. One is white and the other is black.’
‘What are they doing there, Grandfather?’ asks the wide-eyed boy.
‘They are fighting each other,’ says the old man.
The boy considers this, then asks, ‘Why are they white and black?’
‘The white one is your love, your peace and your truth. The black one is your fear, your anger and your lies.’

The fire crackles and sparks flare in the night. The wolf on the ridge howls again and the old man puffs contentedly on his pipe. Finally, the boy says, ‘Which one will win, Grandfather?’

‘Ah,’ says the old man, removing the pipe once more. ‘The one that wins is the one that you feed.’

I just got two greenhouses that I wanted to grow some B+ in but I was afraid of lack of FAE. Guess I'll give it a shot anyway.
