I didn't realize Benzedrex, the OTC inhaler for treating nasal congestion,  was being used recreationally to get high.

I'm definitely not advocating its usage- it's potentially dangerous and it's long term and short term negative effects are unknown.

Has anybody tried it before? I read several experience reports that say the high is just like meth, it has euphoria on par with MDMA, etc. The users were shocked how something completely legal and innocent was able to produce such a powerful, pleasurable high.

I find it hard to believe though and the reports I read were varying.

please share your experiences including the comedown.

I use to extract propylhexedrine from it and yes the high is like a mix of MDMA/meth. Very euphoric and sexually stimulating. The physical high is the best though and taking in deep breaths oh man...

It has its downsides though. If you do decide to do it, don't be a fucking idiot and eat the cotton though. It's a BAD idea. So, don't do it. At the very least, use something really acidic (orange juice/lemon juice) and use something to squeeze out the shit and let it sit for awhile and stir it and squeeze every now and then. The problem with this is you are going to still be ingesting lavender oil (Which isn't that good for you and can cause headaches). I never really had problems doing it this way except for 2 times where I got awful headaches from it.

I'd say if you want the best experience, do a proper extract to remove it from the cotton and separate it from the lavender oil.

I haven't touched the stuff in years though.

BTW, if you don't extract it, be prepared for the worst fucking taste in the world.

I've been using it for the last few months from time to time. I extract it into a 'salt' and mix it with a drink, don't eat the cotton - it's kind of dumb/potentially bad for your intestines.

Each inhaler has 250 mg of propylhexedrine in it, I wouldn't recommend taking it all in one go. In fact, 80-100 mg extracted works pretty damn well - perhaps no more than once a week or so? I don't really have an addictive mindset when it comes to stimulants, but I feel like this could be abused by those who do rather easily. Extremely euphoric - definitely on par with MDMA without a doubt, and you can use it as a focus aid (although not as good as adderall, but it does work rather well).

I like it so much I wouldn't even bother looking for adderall if I needed it for anything.

Unfortunately it's unavailable in Canada (not sure if it's illegal, I just know it's not sold here) but I'm probably going to be in New York around Christmas time so I was thinking of maybe trying it there.

I'm kind of excited though after reading your posts and trip reports.

@mpd- yes, it's still currently over the counter from what I've read. you can even order it off amazon.

I'm planning to walk the Christmas decorated streets of New York City while tweaking on this stuff. :laugh: should be gooood

I used to do it but I would eat like three of the cottons at once. Got super high but also would inevitably puke my guts up. Haven't touched it in years

You can extract the shit in water, apparently. I also did not know this when I did it years ago. But it was one hell of a high.

I didn't realize you could get high off of them either until very recently. Now I just smile and laugh to myself when I see some young person coming in buying like 4 or 5 of them. I don't think I've ever seen them being sold in quantities less than 3.

Yeah it was bad. You know how when someone is trying to get your attention they either grab or tap your shoulder?

Well drugged up MM thought that some woman who he didn't recognize was repeatedly doing this. As well as shouting "HEY! HEY! HOORAY WOOO!" in the middle of the crowd. I looked back and she had a blank expression on her eyes and was looking up into the sky but not paying attention to me, meanwhile jerking my shoulder back and patting me on the back. She was beautiful but her husband had his arm around her so I just looked forward and ignored her until she disappeared. That was enough oddness for it to click that I was having a full-blown hallucination and it was the DPH kicking in. I only wonder what my friends saw, because my boddy reacted as if I was being pulled back by this woman. Probably looked like I was having a goddamn seizure.

It's actually quite fun, aside from the Restless Leg Syndrome I got at the end. The hallucinations are so real, you won't even know they're fake til afterwards.

The euphoria isn't on par with crystal or E its like adderall but not as good but its still by far the best OTC drug.  I'd rate the euphoria a 6.5/10.

Ive tried it. It was enjoyable but i dont mess with it anymore for several reasons the terrible comedown and the shitty depressed feeling the next day were too much on top of that there the thunderclap headaches. And the god awful smell and taste of it just ughh no more. There is a thread on it that i gave instructions on how to use it but if you need them pm me. And ill let you know how to use it without swallowing the cotton but with an easy extraction, however i don't recommend taking bezedrix because of all the side effects

I've never taken more than half an inhalers worth, extracted. Never had any head aches or anything, no bad comedown really. I think this is something that's better in smaller doses honestly.
