You can acidify with white vinegar let it soak for a while.

sodium carbonate is what you want, and you can use it to do a wash on the naptha and see if that helps

i did a wash on the brown naptha and it turned a lemonade-yellow. after 8 hours in the freezer the naptha is clear but i'm not seeing any crystals

i hope the dmt didn't dissolve into the sodium carbonate water :undecided:

i just did a wash on 2 other jars of brown naptha and put them in the freeezer. they're now a lemonade-color too. i'll see how it turns out.

I would think it would stay in the naptha because it should be more soluble in it than the slightly basic water but I could be wrong. Also, I hope you saved that sodium carbonate water from the washes just in case.

there seems to bee a significant decrease of deemsters in tha washed naptha. like a 3rd to a half of the amount it yeilded last time. although it has only been 19 hours. they are white, though.

2 other naptha thangs i washed and put in the freezer earlier are developing a thin but noticible browinish frame around the sides of the glasses. as if just a teeeeeeeeeeeny bit of tainted sodium wash had gotten in there. like just a spec. would that be bad in an entire pull of dmt naptha? or would i need to re-wash it a second time?

Well when you are completely done with all your pulls you can always evaporate the naptha and see if there is anything left in it. Do you know about how much this batch of bark should yeild?

And the sodium carbonate probably isn't that bad, its a lot less harmful than sodium hydroxide, but its really up to you, as you are the one that will be consuming it. If it was me I would probably re wash it because that would bug the hell outta me, but its your call.

but the carbonate draws out all the 'baddies' out of it, which will probably include the lye or whatnot, so maybe it is bad. - again im not expert.

My initial thought that is by washing out some of the impurities in your product ofcourse your going to lose some of the weight of your original deems, but you'll have a more pure product so it balances out.

This is part of the reason why I would probably wash it again.


and ya with each wash you will lose a small amount of product, if you are losing a lot then either something went wrong or a lot of the weight of your product was impurities.

Why is this in the pub? OP I have never seen products as dirty as yours. Also, I've never seen naptha with a brown, cloudy color.

Did you evap, some of the naptha to see if it leaves behind and visible impurities before using?

You may want to try q21q21's tek; aside from the naptha, it's food safe.

I think i also remember reading somewhere that you have to do the carbonate wash really quickly otherwise it starts drawing out deems as well, or something like that. Can't remember it exactly but i do remember specifically reading the carbonate wash has to be done quickly for some reason.

but is this orange stuff really okay to smoke? would the potency be  any different from the white stuff?

Orange is fine to smoke, it should just be a little bit of plant fats in it. Still very potent I'd say from the looks of it!
