Heh, this is gonna be the LSD Crystal to Blotter thread sequel...definitely piques my interest in DMT more than ever before.

I think certain people are more predisposed for these sorts of things. Simple thrill seekers would probably not enjoy DMT. You kind of have to humble yourself to it.
It seemed like the people that did well were willing to let themselves go with the DMT, instead of fighting it. And many were experienced meditators which really seemed to help them out. Rick Strassman proposes that DMT somehow opens an unknown sense organ (our pineal or pituitary gland perhaps?) so that we can see into different dimensions that are of course always there, but normally invisible and unknown to us. The high dose injected DMT (.4 mg/kg) seems to be the only way to be sure to reach this other place and the entities. It is SO interesting to me! I would really like to be involved in further studies, if there ever are any (hopefully!). Here is a quote from Rick Strassman from before the book was published: "There were interesting experiences of all kinds, including physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual experiences. There were entities of varied shapes, sizes, intelligence, and messages. There were near-death experiences of dismemberment and re-integration. There was being devoured by spiders, dancing with DNA, and having sex with alligators. There were angels, machines, and implantations. There were highly personal recollections and healings, simply colorful visions, visions of the future. There were laughing Buddhas, great winged creatures, computer circuits, and cactus beings. There was enlightenment, there was paranoia, there was love, there was despair. There were women, there were men. There were Amazonian natives and porcelain dolls. There was Gumby. There was not very much, there was way too much. There was nothing to remember, there was too much to forget."

Contact experiances are very commen with this drug. This is what makes it special. This also what separates it from other psychedelics. I have friends that will eat 10,000mcg. of LSD, but won't go near DMT agian. There just happy with ego death. As Robert Hunter say's "DMT is for those with heavy guage wiring". It's utter wierdness is to much for many experianced psychedelic user's. This doesn't imply that those of us that do like DMT are more highly evolved. It just means that we get off on utter wierdness.
For a report on my most intense experiance here's a link.

Chinacat....that was a really...I mean I am just blown away by what I just read. It's so crazy sitting in a cubicle reading about that, and something about the way you convey it really sends chills down my spine. I think I need to try DMT some time.
Seriously though thanks for that read. Jeez. That was crazy. Didn't you say something about an Ibogaine trip report when you came back? Is that in the works?
By the way, my favorite part:
"I had to grin at the thought of my experiance and how many billions of dollars they spend. Walking on Mars wouldn't be anything compared to DMT. "

I'm almost done with the Ibogaine report. Since it involved 4 old friends alone in the desert on 1.25 grams each it is a quite long story. I hope to have it done this week and posted in trip tips.

Sweet...can't wait to read it. I'm not too familiar with Ibogaine, though I know I have heard of it but never read very much about it. I'll have to go look some stuff up.
Every time I read about another DMT experience I just become more and more facintated. I NEED to read Strassman's book...and do some DMT!

I don't know- wouldn't 75 micrograms convert to .00075 milligrams? Or am I just totally confused?

the tragedy comes when people mistake 5-meo with nn and smoke 5-meo wioth the dosage range on nn
whew I can't even imagine how intense that would be.
