No I don't. The US has too much cultural diversity to have a Nordic social system, I'm not blaming any particular group for this not working, why do you always look for racism when it's absent in the discussion?

They offer tons of banking services to the wealthiest people in the world of course they are going to have money for feel good social programs. The US is not Switzerland though we need real solutions not band aid fixes.

And the US doesn't offer tons of banking services and doesn't deal with the wealthiest people in the world? C'mon. Robust welfare programs are the real world solutions and condescending, racially tinged bootstrapism isn't even as good as a bandaid.

Well you have to take into account population size. The more people you have the tougher it is to manage. The fact the US has such a high standard of living is a testament to the free market model.

But it's divided into states. Nobody said that any of these programs must exist at the federal level.
