These were all found last weekend along a local creek about 4 miles upstream from the Potomac river.

The large one in my hand weighed 17 grams fresh. It was the only one that didn't blue readily on the stem or cap, but its myceleum looked like it had been swiped with a blue marker. The last three smaller finds all turned aquamarine color that didn't showup in the pics execpt right at the fringes of their caps.

The creek is substantial enough that it never runs dry, but still easy to find your way across without getting your feet wet. The habitat was littered with debris, most of which was hidden underneath dense but short vegitation. The larger mushrooms were barely visible growing out behind a log wedged up against a living tree. The others were only discovered by pushing the ground cover aside with a stick, and crouching down. This particular batch were all located in a 20 foot wide slighty sloping "meadow" between the steep enbankment of the creek and an another very steep hill. However, today I found another batch about 2 miles further upstream and they were all growing in sand halfway up the creek's banks. When I get batteries my camera accepts, i'll upload pics

I've changed a lot, life and stuff.. but my personality hasn't really, I'm still pretty much the same person as when I was 17, with more life experience. I was mature for my age though.
