yeah, i just don't want this excellent idea to go to waste and get lost in the LNC mass grave. i had to give credit where it's due. this was a perfect idea. this will be here tomorrow, unless the Pub fails.

Raid Redemption and Raid 2 are some of the best action movies to come out recently. must watch, if you like gun fights, fighting and bad english dubbing (unless you're a purist)

Withnail and I is one of the best low-key movies. it's so hilarious, but it's not so much laugh out loud funny. it's just ridiculous and English as hell.

this is a classic and this scene (when i watched it with my dad at 2:00 in the morning when i was fucking 12 :lol: ) made my skin crawl and my dad, unfortunately, was fucking asleep by the time it came up so i doubled over in horror and of course... a blanket helped.

Once Upon A Time In America, another classic. i dare anyone to watch it all in one sitting. :lol: it's three fucking hours.

Scenes of a Marriage and Andrei Rublev are some long ass classic movies too. and the aforementioned Barry Lyndon. (basically a painting put to film)

PS: so everyone is clear, this thread is not only for posting your favorite scenes but for discussing movies that maybe need to be talked about.

like Stalker for example. who's seen it?


Touch of Evil should be watched too. the strangling scene is one of the best thrills i've seen in film, and one of the best coordinated too.

Vengeance is Mine is some oldschool, line-crossing, twisted shit from Japan and also A GREAT film. here it is in full.

WATCH. Peter Weir is such a fucking ... wicked film maker, if one has patience, and likes the pacing, one will not be disappointed.

Now this is something I can talk about. I consider myself a kung fu movie connoisseur.

The Protector's staircase scene


The stereotypical Ip Man scene really can't be argued with.


My personal favorite Jackie Chan movie is Snake in Eagle's Shadow (in terms of fighting, overall quality drunken master 1-2 are way better imo)


I really loved Gallants. It was hilarious, the fighting was immaculate, and it made me feel some serious feels. Also it stars that old guy that played The Beast in Kung Fu Hustle.


Donnie Yen's Dragon was also really amazing.
(Flashpoint is another one with some amazing Donnie Yen fights)

The Warriors Two might just be the single best Wing Chun movie I've ever seen.


The Master of the Flying Guillotine is surreal, amusing, and more than a little racist but it's a great kung fu movie. Gotta love those stereotypes.


Shaolin is a pretty solid kung fu movie starring Andy Lau with a pretty awesome Jackie Chan cameo


True Legend. It's just awesome. Fuck anyone who says otherwise.


The Legend of the Fist: Return of Chen Zen. I really don't think a movie exists where Donnie Yen isn't a badass of the highest calibre.


Tai Chi Zero + Hero are kind of silly but all of the stars are actual martial arts masters. Hell even some of the children that appear in the movie are top talent in real life martial arts tournaments. If I recall correctly the main actor is an Olympian Wushu champion or something to that effect.
