Any one else heard of this nonsense?
I was introduced to some people who indulge in this text as casual friends.  Before I knew it they were grooming me to join some weirdo cult.

In what way were  they grooming you?

What kind of cult ?

I read / listened to a small amount of the book.

Interesting material.

I was being seperated from family/friends, made to believe they were "bad" people.  Led to believe I was helping a single mom with a couple children, doing painting, carpentry, simple home and garden tasks.  The money is funneled into a "paradise" found in the philapines somewhere. They lure in younger, "teachable" people in attempts to build communities.  In order to join these communities one must sign over all material assets.  I am a rather liberal guy, so I was slightly impressionable to their "sustainable" communities.  They tend to prey upon the disenchanted, down trodden humans.
I was given a copy of the book and told "if nothing else, read it like sci-fi" then invited to readings of the book where this stuff is taken literally. 
It is interesting material, the racism and NWO stuff in the book is what creeps me out.
The "absent observer" who apparently passed this info on was a member of the Kellogg family, and many ideas were adopted from Sadler.  Scary.

Good for you, this is a serious discussion, or was supposed to be.  I don't make serious posts about much.  These people prey on a large portion of the demographic here on the shroomery.  I'd hate to think someone wound up in SE Asia with no passport as slave labor.

I've experienced a string of strong synchronicity that involves an aspect of the Urantia Book. They say it was channeled entirely on a single typewriter...

The problem for me with the book is the Eugenics factor as well as the fact that one of the authors was William Sadler.  Also this information was "channelled" through a member of the Kellogg family.
My other difficulty is the fact that they tend to prey upon the undereducated, down trodden and of weak mental character.
