I forgot that people even do things to appear masculine or feminine. like, it never even occurs to me that it would be in the line of a normal thought-process to consider "masculinity" in the pic

It's because you're probably sexually confused and are having trouble identifying with masculine or feminine gender roles.  It's okay, it'll get better eventually once you go through puberty.
