depends. Stupid or dumb first timer? Somebody who is going to fuck the tek around and shit, or who is going to follow word-for-word there first time without trying any advance shit? Take it word-for-word and you should be fine. Out of 12 jars, expect to loost 2 to 5 of them.

The first time for me, I did 7 jars and followed it word for word and tried to be as careful as I could. All 7 turned out fine.

contamination dont seem to be a problem, being fisrt i have yet to expreince contamination. oh once i had some green stuff but i just cut it out and it was fine.

The #1 reason for contamination is failure to use a presure cooker. Ill bet with use of a presure cooker and good common sense you sould loose less than one in ten jars. After birthing is a whole different matter as is casing.

Presure Cooker + wiping top 1/4" before adding vermiculite = success.
