I ride. I have 2 bikes, I just bought my 2007 ninja zx6 back from a buddy and I also have a 1987 Yamaha virago 700.

That Sportster is a good looking bike, I myself wouldn't own a Harley, but they don't look bad. I'm sure it would be a nice ride.

No, I won it with my first post, you've just damaged your brain with all that noise and cannot recognize defeat when you see it. You're twice as much of a douche for making that much noise with your stereo. There's more to a loud bike than just trying to look and sound cool though, loud pipes save lives. You can easily hear a loud bike before you can see it. That may very well save a riders life if someone in a car is only looking for a biker instead of hearing them also.

But I hear you, I don't care for when some obnoxious asshole sits and revs his bike just to piss other people off.

I play loud music because I enjoy loud music.  I love feeling it reverberate through my chest at rock concert volumes. 

Just like how I like the sound of a harley.  It feels good.

It has nothing to do with showing off or whatever other nonsense you are alluding to.

And once again...I dont have to look cool.

Yes, loud pipes save lives.  I myself prefer the crotch rockets.  My personal bike is a GSXR 600 (with the 750 motor swapped in:wink:)

I ride a Honda Shadow (complete Harley rip-off).

Would def get a Harley If I could afford one, but they are really expensive here.

Went to a major motorcycle exchange and sat on a lot of bikes a couple months back. Harley were the best sitting choppers by far.

I would personally not spend money on a new Sportster as they are a bit small for me. Why not buy a recent occasion and step up a few CC,s?

I really like the honda shadows too!  Nice choice

I think the sportster is a good match for a small guy like me with hardly any experience on street bikes.  I dont need a lot of ccs to start with.


The nice thing about harley is they hold their value extremely well so when im ready to upgrade it wont hurt the wallet as much.

Im seriously eyeing up victory as well.  I love their bikes too.  Been looking online all night at then

There is a 2011 honda shadow phantom with 6000km on it for 7000.

Or a new sportster...and I love new lol...for 10000

You guys just reminded me.  Me and a couple friends went on a road trip and visited a friend of a friend a couple hours away.  We were all drinking and his parents were gone but left the keys to the Honda Shadow.  So, of course, I want to ride it.  My friends wanted to ride it too, but they were too chicken to go first.  So I hop on, whip around the block and come back.  Each of them did the same, no wrecks, no accidents, nothing.  Then I guess his parents came back in town and his dad was outside mowing the lawn.  Apparently the neighbor asked if he was selling his bike.  He goes "No, why?"  Neighbor goes "I saw a bunch of guys test-riding it."  So then our friend's dad took the keys from him for like a week.:rofl:

There are some nice looking Victories, bit expensive though.

Also getting something 1500cc with a wicked apehanger might not be the best idea for a starter bike :grin:

Get an Indian if you want a classic looking bike. Those are way cooler than Harley's.
