Air circulation is good, they need to breathe. I also have an ultrasonic, and I have an airtight terrarium. Just open the lid every day to check on them, and that should be well enough for a decent air exchange.

then what exactly is the benefit of have an u-s humidifier over say a cool-mist humidifier? also, is it going to better my yield/grow time to use a humidifier or should i just makes things simply and use perlite and spray it whenever i airate the fruiting chamber?

go w/ the u/s. the mist is much finer, and the humidity will be higher than with a regular. I would not use a regular one unless i could time it for a few 30 second bursts per day. the u/s i leave on for an hour at a time.
