Im pretty sure that all of these are cubes, the only one that Im not so sure about is the one in the bottom right corner.

It looked good in the field but now Im not so sure. It has not shown any blueing.

I'm pretty sure the one in the bottom corner is a cube. I've never seen any mushrooms in the field that look similiar to that besides cubes. Does it have a purple ring (veil remains)?

Every one of those is a cube, even the far right one.  If one shroom puts off lots of different strains, it is probably look to natural selection to pick which traits carry on.  I personally think that they are constantly evolving and just might have dropped the blueing trait.  They been around forever and microoranisms and fungus/bacteria evolve at a much higher rate than all other things.  Just a theory.....feedback? :spliff:

The bluing comes from the oxidization(sp) of the active chemicals in the shroom. I dont believe that natural selection can change basic chemistry.

good point nite owl, but i do think some could blue more than others.  Some think thats a way to rate potency but im not so sure. :spliff:

If this were the case, then the mushrooms stopped producing psilocybin/psilocin. The bluing reaction is a result of psilocin oxidizing.
