Fungus Find From Central Mexico *PIX*
    #1995845 -

Okay folks. One of my favorite all time activities is spending time in the outdoors. While the city may not have serene forest clearings with cute little mushrooms for the finding, indeed one can find plenty of fungus doing their part in the life cycle in the city.

I went to Mexico this summer to study Spanish and always kept my eyes peeled for these little alien heads. I found no mushroom in particular, however on one of my last days of school I found some fungus growing on the side of a tree.

Habitat:
City of Queretaro, 2 hours bus ride north of Mexico City. Rainy season is the winter and the rest of the time it is pretty dry. It does however pour for an hour or 2 every few days. Indeed an interesting place to find fungus.

This was also a snap of a road sign I passed by every day before classes at 9 in the morning. ::SIGH:: I kinda miss that place. Shitload of Mexicans everywhere! It's like they live there! Ha ha, PEACE!

Nice conks.

They look like something in Fomitopsis, but I'm not very good ad IDing conks. If that tree wasn't already dead, it probably will be soon.

Happy mushrooming!
