Democrats Panick Over Obuma's New Power Plant Regulations
    #19960317 -

This is another nail in the dem's coffin for midterms. They are fleeing like rats from a sinking ship

Within weeks, President Barack Obama's administration is set to unveil unprecedented emissions limits on power plants across the U.S., much to the dismay of many Democratic candidates who are running for election in energy-producing states. Fearful of a political backlash, they wish their fellow Democrat in the White House would hold off until after the voting.

“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship.” (attributed to Alexis de Tocqueville political philosopher Circa 1835)

They will be able to pass laws and the dems won't be able to say gop is the obstructionist party. O'stumbles will have to come out from under his rock and veto everything if he wants to stop progress.

It will be getting closer to the presidential election, so they might actually try to do some work. I am not convinced, but I'll remain optimistic.

What laws have the GOP Congress tried to pass (that were either rejected by the Senate or vetoes by the president)?

Like what? Should be able to name at least one GOP legislative plan that was blocked by liberals.

And we're not counting the 50 some odd times they've tried to repeal the ACA.

What legislation proposed by Congressional Republicans would have helped America if passed?

Just mentioned it.

Making unpopular choices is leadership.    If republicans had it their way, there would be no regulations at all.  Who needs them?  When you believe "god" controls climate... heck, why not?  The sooner the earth goes to shit, the sooner Jesus Fucking CHRIST will return, right?

Liberals live in the real world--where difficult decisions have to be made -- unfortunately, we have to live in a world with right-wing fucktards.    And the fucktards are winning as usual.

How exactly is reverting to an old healthcare system progress?

You said Obama is blocking their progress. What exactly are they going to accomplish without liberals blocking it?

You can't whine about them being called the obstructionist party and then say their crowning achievement is trying to repeal one law 50 times. Where are their ideas if you're so sure they have "quite a few?"

The aca is an abomination. It will not only not make healthcare more affordable, that was the first lie, it will make costs go up even faster than they were going up. The public has spoken, candidates who ran supporting obumbles have gotten trashed. The dems are terrified and for good reason. They may have gone too far with their big govt schemes and woke up the beast.

I'm not a big fan of gop, i think they are crooked too. Their only use is as a counterweight to the nutzy dems. I'd much rather see a third party win power.

So do you have any ideas of your own at least?

What 3 things should be done immediately by a 3rd party president?

Glad you asked.

1. Stop all political payola, no more direct contributions, no gifts, no speaking fees, nothing.
2. Stop all foreign wars pronto and do not start any more of them
3. Get the feds out of the business of the average person where they do not belong.
