Ganoderma tsugae Mycobag
    #14904757 - 08/11/11 03:09 AM (12 years, 6 months ago)

I collected this Ganoderma tsugae in Olympic National Park last summer.

I cloned it to agar.

I collected some sawdust from a riverbank in Olympic National Park from the chainsawing of fallen Alder trees. The sawdust was hydrated with boiling water, allowed to cool and mixed with 20% vermiculite, added to the mycobag, then inoculated with colonized barley grain.

I will update this post as things develop.

You can get anywhere from 50 pound bags to full dump truck loads of Alder sawdust from Sawdust Supply in Seattle.

Thanks, RR. I've been looking for a decent sawdust supplier. I'll be grabbing a bag of alder and a bag of the fir-hemlock for future grows.

Blimeygrimey I am looking for a way to buy Ganoderma inoculum, and a way to make it. This is for a kids science project. Can you help?

Many thanks,
