tsugae nose bleeds
    #9749529 -

i have been drinking 4 to 8 oz of ganoderma tsugae tea everyday for the last month, my sinuses are super fucking dry....like the Sahara man, i know this is normal when taking ganos.

in the morning i get nose bleeds sometimes, are their any natural remedies (plants, fungi) that can help with this or do i have to discontinue use for a week/month/how long i dont know?

i really dont want to stop drinking the tea because I love the benefits/high/feeling of it, no wonder the ancient Chinese called it the superior herb of life.

I'm spending to much on saline for my nose dammit :kingcrankey:

Neti pot? At least you won't have to buy saline solution, just the salt.

Try running a cool mist humidifier or two in your house.

a little vaseline in your nose applied via pinky finger at bedtime helps with bloody nose during the night also.

Sesame oil, for example http://www.rhinaris.com/ca/en/consumer/products/nozoil.php or any similar product.

I'm with RR on the humidifier. If you have a hygrometer, check what is your RH in the room where you sleep. A lot of times houses without central forced air and functioning central humidifier go below 30%, which is really bad for you whether you are drinking Ganoderma or not. Try to keep your RH at about 38-45% in the winter.

I know RR is going to slam me for suggesting this, but walmart has a humidifier for under $30.

I suggest getting a steam humidifier, rather than a cool mist or ultrasonic. Steam humidifiers produce 99.9% germ free moisture, whereas the cool-mists and ultrasonics have to be sterilized regularly to prevent them from broadcasting bacteria and mold into the air. Also, the steam humidifier produces humidity free of minerals - in parts of the country where the water has a high mineral content you will soon find a white powdery mineral residue building up on the surface of everything in your home- and you don't want to have that residue building up in your lungs. Plus, the "warm-mist" humidifiers can be had brand new for $12.00 -$15.00.

Of course, the warm mist is not good for the fruiting chamber, but having one in the bedroom improves my sleep greatly.

Consider yourself duly slammed.

Walmart is the most un-American company that operates in this country.  I'm afraid my nuts will fall out of the sack if I ever walk into one, knowing what I know about those bastards.

Besides, they flat-out refused to stock my DVD unless I sold it to them below cost.  The only way I could make 20 cents on each DVD set would be to get them replicated and printed in china, which I refuse to do.  My DVDs are proudly made in USA and will remain so.  I'll gladly pay the extra price to support my country.

i have one of those steam humidifiers and i have mixed feelings about those.  for starters they seem alot more dirty than a normal humidifier.  i think its because bacteria likes heat.  ill run it dry and then the next time i fill it up there's all kinda of dried crap on the bottom. and at the top where the steam comes out is yellow everywhere. i dunno its just nasty looking, and the one i have looks like the heating element is made out of lead lol so i imagine im inhaling lead filled humidity

i think the best thing to use is a fogger in a bucket.  for starters it looks cool as hell if you get one with lights.  secondly you can just leave the top off the bucket which will result in a cleaner water for a few reasons.  altho if you sneeze in it that prob wouldn't be good lol

lastly im guessing a fogger would be really cheap to run because you don't have to have a fan, the fog should rise and saturate the air

oh and i forgot to mention a fogger bucket setup actually lets you clean everything unlike store bought humidifiers that have tiny holes and other spots you can't easily clean

I would recommend vegetable oil applied inside the nose a few times a day. Vaseline or petroleum jelly would work too, but I would rather not incorporate that into my cells.  Sesame oil is good for vata conditions - in ayurveda, this includes dryness. I take a spoon of sesame oil daily for heart health.

A neti pot alone can dry, and leaving the salt out is not a good idea - it will sting.  When dry, I cut back on the neti.  If its winter, the air is drier and a humidifier might also help.

I haven't done much ganoderma (am doing cordyceps now) - how would you describe the effects?

I do not have a humidifier and i cant afford one now, just bought a bunch of plants for my mini greenhouse, sum nice cacti, umbrella plants, Kentucky #9 (tobacco), elephant ear bulbs, and many more

I do not shop at walmart and agree with RR about walmart being one of the most un-American companies around.
