tonight was weird. Me and some friends were chillin over at this kids house, smoked a little herb, had some gin. Me and a few people took some adderal so we could chill and pull an all-nighter. We decided to go out in my friends car and drive around and freestyle to some beats. My friend had like 2 or 3 shots of gin. We were driving around for a while when we went to this one neighborhood, we rolled up to this one building in the neighborhood (not houses or apartments) and there was a cop parked in front of it. Now it was probably 4:30 pm or so, we rolled around the parking lot to get out, passing the parked cop car WITH a cop in it. We drove out of the parking lot, and my friend kinda gunned it to get away because we saw the cop car pulling out of the parking lot with his lights off. We completely got out of that neighborhood and we thought we were straight. We stopped at a gas station and one of my friends got out to go in, for what i don't know maybe a drink or something. While we were parked at the gas station a cop car pulls up next to one of the pumps and puts on their lights. The cop comes up to the car and tells us to put our hands on the seats and shit.

Long story short, the cops told us my friend blew a 1.0, so i think hes fucked. Hes underage and he was driving while over the legal limit, our parents came and picked us up. I'm not sure what happpened to my friend who was the driver, this just happened like 30 minutes ago. The good thing is none of us had ANYTHING on us, no weed no nothing. And the car was clean also.

All in all it just SUCKS cause my mom is pissed at me for having to come pick me up at 6AM and that i got in trouble with the fucking pigs again. We are lucky that we had no drugs or alchohal, but my friend is gonna be fucked with a DUI i think. Sucks huh. Peace.

he might not get a dui. the same thing happened to me when i was underage. i pulled over at the Krystal at like 2:00 am. well i saw all these cops racing up the road. so i was like i can take a piss now.
well i started pissin on this wall and of course a cop passed me.
and hit his breaks then got out stepped over my piss like it was a hurdle on a track. arrested me. i sat with handcuffs on in the precinct. for like four hours until my mom picked me up. but i never got a dui.they just dropped the whole thing

I just talked to my friend this morning, the cops let him go! He got to go back to the friend's house he was sleeping over at, and his parents havent even been contacted yet. Why the fuck couldn't i have been so lucky when i got caught lol. Peace.

If you are underage, they have to release you to your parents. Only if they can't get ahold of your parents do they take you to the police station. They had no probable cause to stop you anyways, unless they said you smelled like alcohol or some other bullshit reason they could invent...

Well first of all, we outran them in a different neighborhood, so they had a reason to stop us. I ment to say he blew a .1, not 1.0 LOL. Peace.

... what about talking on a cell phone, reading the newspapers, or putting on makeup. I see people doing these things while driving all the time, but we don't have nazi-like mothers against putting on makeup while driving... or mothers against talking on cell phones while driving... etc.

A very silly definition. I have seen people that would blow a .15 able to outperform other people that blow 0.05. We are all different, and they way a drug (alcohol) effects us is different. Instead of an arbitrary number, they need to have a skill test. If you pass the skill test, regardless of what you blow, you get to drive.

I used to be very anti DUI, but since I moved to a place where about the only way you get a a DUI is if you wreck, I have changed my mind. Whatever happened to personal responsibility? Let people do as they wish and judge them when the mess up... this preemptive attack mentality that we have in America is plain wrong be it against DUI, drugs, or other countries.

The problem I have is just that I would prefer not to have a drunk driver on the road when I happen to be minding my own business and get killed or something. That is what sucks lol.;p

man, i was driving around drunk in this park when i was younger and got busted. i blew .7 and got taken to the police station. They suspended my licence for 3 months and were going to fine me $2000, but the stupid cops forgot to lock my car and it got burnt. Looking back on it, i found the whole experience to be rather character building. I wouldn't be so anti-alcohol and pro-drug if it wasn't for that night.

I think you're friend may benefit from an encounter with the police.

I agree with you 100%, but I don't believe the way to address the problem is to set arbitrary limits that have nothing to do with an individuals drunkeness or state of mind.  :smile:

hmmm. i dont know about that. when i took a drivers improvement class, in one of the videos we watched it said its actually proven in most people that 1 drink increases drivers motor skills. i know this is true with me, i dont drink and drive but had in the past and seemed to drive better, i was more aware of my surroundings and more relaxed at the wheel.

also, the .08 limit or .10 in some states is BS and unfair to females. females are generally smaller, and lack some special stomach acid that is only found in males that breaks down alcohol over time. so a girl could drink 1 or 2 drinks and possibly get a DUI, while a male can put down way more and get it out of your bloodstream faster.

your right though, drinking and driving is stupid. getting caught up in the system is no fun :frown: they are really harsh on it around here.
