Yeah I'm right there with you, trying to imagine the taste of uncooked lobster.  I wonder what the texture is like.  Personally I think it would be unpleasant relative to the taste, but that's just speculation on my part.

It's basically very similar to amaebi (sweet shrimp, the big kind). They also typically select lobsters that are around the same size as jumbo shrimp for sashimi. Notice that these lobsters are a different color too, not grey, but red while raw.

I was an expensive sushi restaurant years ago, and the next table over ordered lobster. It was still alive when they brought it to the table. The shell had been removed, and the couple used little spoons to eat the insides as the legs twitched.

Well that settles it, going to Chinatown tomorrow. Can't believe I've been buying frozen tails at triple that price. Hell maybe they'll have live salmon for $5 a fish too...

Maybe. I haven't taken notice, they have too many fish at the market for me to name all of them.

But it's a good thing we're eating those. We should eat all top predators, such as those fish and alligators. Kill the nasty little beasts and eat them for lunch.
