Can't really decide, leaning towards the first one

One of three:

Taking lessons from one of my favorite musicians (being around them)

Deep in the rockies, cascades, or sedona

Or Paris

been to the peak of this mountain a couple times in Alaska. There is actually a book and pencil under a rock with all the people that have made it to the peak. Fuckin' beautiful man. Were about 10 pages worth of names. Some dating back almost 20 years.

Boundary waters near Canada...  There's just so much more oxygen up there, it's kinda nice to be there.  I also enjoyed being in Jamaica.  I traveled so much when I was young :frown:  It'd be cooler to do it now.

Oxygen is evenly distributed around the world, for any given altitude.

How come it's harder to breathe at higher altitudes?
I'd like to hear the awesome koods answer instead of googling.

As far as the coolest place I've been to, and continue to return to on occasion, is the island of Florianopolis in Southern Brazil. The coolest place I'd like to go to is Singapore. One of these days...

Kr0n, he said at any given altitude. Not evenly distributed everywhere.

For any given altitude. Actually, the percentage of oxygen is pretty much the same everywhere, but as you go up in altitude, air pressure drops and therefore, the same amount of air has a higher volume. When you breathe at a higher altitude, there are fewer oxygen molecules per breath AND there is less air pressure to force those molecules from your lungs into your bloodstream AND gases are less soluble in liquids (like blood) at lower pressure.

Definitely have a fondness for Algonqiun. Head there to hike or canoe every chance I get. Since I took up fly fishing the park has been even harder to resist.

Mexico City is hell. Air quality is shit and the city is 8,000 feet above sea level. I thought I was going to pass out when I climbed the pyramids at Teotihuacan.

I see. Now I have to figure out why no matter how deep you go in the ocean it feels the same to breathe out of a SCUBA respirator. I guess since the air stays at the same pressure inside the tank, it doesn't make a difference...

Weren't we talking about cool places we've been to. Sorry guys.

Do they have different tanks for different target depths?

At 30 ft each breath would contain twice as much oxygen than at the surface. Do you breath slower at depths or take smaller breaths?

What does that matter if the tank is at a certain pressure? (besides pressure on the diver's chest)

I had an empty water bottle with the cap on in the backseat of my car when I drove from Lake Tahoe to Sacremento. When I got to Sacremento, the bottle was crushed. Air pressure FTW.

Oh yeah, the drive from Lake Tahoe to Sacremento was pretty cool.

The pressure of the air you breathe at any depth is equalized for that depth, not the pressure inside the tank. The pressure inside the tank is dozens or even hundred of times that of normal air pressure. That what the regulator does. If you didn't have a regulator, you would explode.

Kron will know that as you rise to the surface, you will be constantly expelling air from your lungs because as the pressure drops, the gas in your lungs expands. If you don't breathe out, eventually the pressure inside your lungs will force undissolved air into bloodstream and you will probably die from air embolisms.
