How to dunk and roll a mycobag cake?

I UTFSE and searched for "dunk and roll", "All main posts", dating back to all posts, and found nothing.

How do I dunk my 4 myco cakes? What's the technique?

Pour water in the jars, place in fridge for about 23 hours, no longer than 24. Take out, pat dry, roll in wet verm. and youre done.

Since they are in bags, just take them out of the bag first
and place in a tupperwere container with bottled water in
the fridge for at least 12 hours and less then 24. When
you take them out (and they are still moist) roll them in
verm, a lot will fall off don't worry. Set on a lid or CD or
something to keep them off of the bottom of your terrerium and
the perlite. Sprinkle some extra verm on the top, then mist the
whole thing until the verm looks moist (not dripping). Then
just put in your terrerium.

Well right now they're alraedy out of the bag and in the terrarium and I've taken off most of the first flush. Just a few more to go. They're sitting directly on the perlite and they're fine. Am I not supposed to do this?

I've gotten some pretty monstrous shrooms already. Thick and meaty, and about 8-12in each.

Yes, apparently not. The first post said I have mycobag cakes, not jar cakes. I can't put water in my jars since I didn't use the PF Tek method. But thanks for taking the time to reply.

I put them in a bowl with some water, but it only covers 3/4 of the cake since the bowl isn't tall enough. I also had to squish them down to get the top on, which still doesn't fit, but it's saran wrapped on the top to keep it on there.

I also put a screen over top of my perlite (same screen like I use in the dessicant chamber).

I'll send out a thanks to you Zwei:) you have answered a lot of
my Q's in the past couple of days.

As for the setting directly on the perlite, well it has the
possibility to water log your mushrooms and promote contams,
but if you are having good luck with them the way they are,
I would leave them be. Maybe the fact that you didn't dunk
them made them a little dry, which is offset by setting them
directly on the perlite? Ying-Yang thing?

I think there was a contam underneath my cake when I lifted it up. It was a dark color, so I just scooped up the perlite and threw it away. That's why I have the screen on it now. I also sprayed it all down with my water + peroxide mix. I didn't do that before, I just used water in the perlite and sprayed the sides of the terrarium with my mix. Maybe that'll help.
