These are the ingredients on my chewable vitamin c bottle
    #19551883 -

It's the white bottle from CVS Pharmacy. (Not copied and pasted, typed)

Serving Size 1 Tablet
Amount per serving 500 mg 833%
(as sodium ascorbate and ascorbic acid)
Sodium 45 mg 2%

Other Ingredients: Sorbitol, Sucrose, Cellulose (plant origin), Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Natural and Artificial Flavors. Contains <2% of: Aspartame**, FD&C Blue No. 1 Lake, FD&C Red No. 40 Lake, FD&C Yellow No. 5 Lake, FD&C Yellow No. 6 Lake, Malic Acid, Silica, Vegetable Magnesium Stearate.

No yeast, wheat, gluten, milk or milk derivatives, lactose, soy.

**Phenylketonurics: Contains Phenylalanine.

... I probably should be buying a better quality source of Vitamin C, right? Something more pure without phenylalanine and aspartame... but everything at the store has that shit in it. :frown:

And from this site, claims of magnesium stearate having no benefit to the customer are apparent. "In the U.S. many supplement makers are adding "flow agents" into their capsules. Their only purpose is to keep ingredients from sticking to equipment during mixing and compression. They make manufacturing faster and easier, but it's not impossible to produce the final product without them. Not using them simply adds to manufacturing costs and final sales price of the product, but there is clearly no reason this ingredient is added for consumer benefit.

Magnesium stearate is a commonly used and potentially harmful additive found in many supplements."

I haven't checked my vitamin c tablets. That's gross though. So sick of unnecessary shot in the things I consume. This is one of the biggest reasons I don't eat out anymore, or buy prepackaged food. It's all processed to fuck and back

I try my best to get my vitamin C directly from the food I eat - oranges, broccoli, kale, papaya, mango etc...but I found this supplement that sounds a bit healthier. I wouldn't like those additives either.

Lol come on man they are probably better than chewy candy and the fast food you ate yesterday.

If you want a good vitamin source, get ones that aren't synthetic. And are derived properly so you know your getting what you are paying for.  Cause chances are you aren't Lol.

I usually drink a good good great only the best veggie powder derived properly and stored in the freezer. It's rather healthy as fuck
