    They will appreciate your "honesty" (and your 50 bucks) and go on somewhere.  This happened to work for me the other day.  This really only works when you did not really do anything wrong or at least jailable.  Not committing a crime is so much worse because when you are pulled over and they don't have any dirt on you I guarantee you get a bunch of horse shit charges like resisting arrest and other "attempting" to do this or that and will try their hardest to torture you into losing your temper to cover their ass by giving you a disorderly charge.

    In my state they are allowed to detain you on fake charges for 120 days.  This is not a win!  Most of the "know your rights" lessons that i've been told were by lawyers.  LAWYERS ARE THE BIGGEST SCUM of them all and THE biggest suckup to the man.  It you don't believe that the american judicial system operates on bribery then what would you call the bar association?  They just want your money and lots of it.  I now have to pay 50 bucks to the police which I am going to send them in one dollar bills folded up into pig oregami(sp?) sent in a dunkin donuts bag via certified mail.  But it is so much better than having to plea guilty to conspiracy to think about maybe possibly doing such and such to get rid of 9 bogus felonies because I cant afford a lawyer yaknow. Don't be puckered by lawyers.

  There is no getting off the hook without paying them and they know this.  50 dollar seatbelt tickets save lives.  Sorry for the scot but my misconception of doing nothing wrong won't get you in trouble is why I will probably never drive legally again.  All of you can avoid this by just paying a small fine.  I've proven this effective a few times.
