A&M weren't undefeated last year and Manziel still won it. As far as being on the ballot, shit, no schedule could have kept him off the ballot.

and out of that list of teams they played, i think only one is bowl eligible.

a one loss SEC team > undefeated team from any other conference.

i could see FSU beating auburn. the auburn pass D isn't anything great. the reason alabama would match up great against FSU is because they have a balanced D, but auburns run game is easily #1, which is why i think mason deserved it.

but it is an interesting game. you have the best pass O vs the best run O. but FSU is only considered the best pass O because other than Florida they really haven't gone up against a great D. but florida's defense was out on the field about 98% of all football time this year so that isn't saying much.

sorry, but the SEC is currently, and has been for a while, heads and tails above all other conferences.

might as well start taking into consideration high school QBs then if strength of conference doesn't matter. some guy playing against schools who have to schedule their games around the badminton team practices shouldn't get to compare stats with teams that compete at the highest possible level.
