Heisman Discussion

I say Matt Ryan. The Heisman isn't so much the actual best player in the country, but the guy who's made his team what it is at the top. Matt Ryan fits that pretty well, as the rest of the pack has been pretty anemic.
Matt Ryan won't win it though, I don't think
Brian Brohm would probably win it if he had any kind of defense.
Mike Hart has put up sick numbers but I reckon there's a Michigan stigma this year (and his success has not led t
I'd say give it to Darren McFadden, because he's simply nasty.

I dislike that guy for some reason.
I think it's his release. The way he rolls the ball off his fingers looks like he's trying to hard.

Because he actually runs behind an offensive line.
McFadden directly into the defense.

Matt Ryan just lost the Heisman to Dennis Dixon.
Geno Hayes is my hero.

He's got to be the frontrunner. He's been on fire all year, really hasn't had a bad game, even when they lost. He got hurt late in the game, but I don't think it was serious.

He's been very Vince-like, but not quite to the extent that Young had in '05, he was downright incredible.

As a passer, Andre Woodson is the fuckin man, weird release and all. He's about as mobile as Dan Marino circa 1999, though.

He's also just a homo. And he has a chinstrap "beard."

If Slaton stays, Pat White''ll be the front runner next year. He's been the main reason for their success, come late, but I don't think he can do all he's done without Slaton. He might be as successful with Noel Devine, but I dunno.

Yeah, you're right. He prolly won't be considered for the Heisman, but the dude is pretty clutch and a downright hardass when it comes to 4th & short or goaline situations.

So, Dennis Dixon, the clear Heisman frontrunner, injures his knee and his team drops a second game.
I honestly don't know who it's going to be.
If someone says Tim The Juice Tebow, so help me…

I doubt he'll take it, but the kid has been carrying the WVU offense lately, with Steve Slaton fumbling like mad and not getting many touches in general.
Tim Tebow's numbers are pretty crazy. Too bad that they have so many losses, but they weren't terrible losses.

Correct me if I am wrong, but doesnt a teams record have nothing to do with the Heisman candidates? Cant they award it to the best player despite his teams record?

Technically, but not really.
Most of the time it will go to the QB of the team everyone thinks will win the National Championship. If that guy sucks it'll go to someone who has just been so nasty they have to win it, like Reggie Bush.

He had a good Border War. I think Tebow's going to win, but McFadden's trouncing of arguably the best D in the country may've helped him.
