I ate Turbinellus floccosus several years ago after finding it while picking chanterelles... didnt have any issues but I also didnt eat a pound of it... taste wise I didnt notice anything special... if anything it was kinda chanterelle like but a bit more sweet... they were growing under a redwood..

Luckily, so far, I have no mushroom poisoning experiences to share

I have eaten actives raw with no ill effects... other than that I am pretty careful.
