Did you peel the skin off of the cactus? What I'm talking about is the thick waxy covering on th very outside. The green tissue underneath is what you want and it is completely digestible. Also, you don't want much of the flesh in the middle. Curanderos claim that the inner white flesh can make you sick. I trust thousands of years of experience.

Nah, I get the dried outer flesh from a gentleman in Peru. Probably the most potent stuff you can get as he harvests it from older cacti.

When doing focused work you can use far higher doses than for recreational tripping. I certainly wouldn't recomend those doses for everyone.

I have prepared and eaten dozens of San Pedro's over the years. I have a photographic Pictorial of how to prepapre it. No one gets sick on it or nauseated it they prepare it the correct way. It only has mescaline and a few alkaloids in iut, not the fifty or more which are in peyote. The Puruvians and Ecuadorians prepare a drink called chimora. It involves boiling the catus, spines and all for 12 to 24 hours. OF course, i know the secret of Western Civilization so i have access to a blender.

I am currently looking for an underground journal or Magazine to publish the step by step photos which eventrualy involve drink 8-16 ounces of liquid which wash down, no chewing necesary and no nausea or stomach discop0mfort from the drinking of the potion.

I will not publish this on the internet. ALthough I have printed a step by step preparation originally at siprirtplants which removed all of my photos and posts form their site, many irreplacable images of shrooms and other druygs. And it was not Eddy buit several moderators who did remove the posts. My posts are there but the pages are empty of all my responses except those who viewed and responded to my threads. Their comments are there minus my imput and photos images. However the idiots failed to remove two of my published papers.

MJ, have you found boiling the cactus for long periods of time adds to nausea? K Trout suggests this in his definitive "Sacred Cacti" book.

That is not surprising when one considers how similar the molecular structure of the two substances are. You can compare 3D versions of either molecule at www.erowid.org and see for yourself. I agree that they share similar aspects - but do to my lack of sufficient experience with mescaline (only two experiences), I can't tell for certain how close they are qualitatively. 2C-I seems like a more intense experience, but it may be dose related (and the fact that I've used it recently while I used mescaline years ago).

Don't know about that, but I boiled my cactus slurry during my preparation and I didn't experience the slightest nausea either time (if you don't count the urge to yack due to the purely putrid flavor).

It's definitely a good idea to hold these experiences in moderation. These substances deserve our utmost respect. It is a long laster too, so you should make sure to (as you should with any substance use) get a good amount of sleep the night before and eat a good meal (perhaps with some vitamin supplements) the morning of.
