Unknown plant (ID request)

OK, so I don't know my botany. A year ago I found some interesting plants and took a couple photos. I believe they are one of the nightshades.

The berries don't get much bigger than they appear in the photos. They darken, becoming purplish as they mature.

To the best of my knowledge, that would be a Solanum nigrum (aka Black Nightshade). Is the plant covered with hairs? What color are the flowers? One more question; where did you find it?

My first thoughts were of a Solanum, but then i thought it wasn't a nightshade at all.

I'm considering Solanum lookalikes, because the leaf morphology and it's lack of fuzziness to be a nigrum.

but to be certain..

I'm currently looking for other members of the Solanum genus.

The plants were not noticeably hairy. The flowers are small and white. They were found next to a building on the eastern plains of Colorado.

I thought it was bittersweet but the flowers are wrong. I'm gonna say petty morel like everyone else.

It would be alot easier to identify if the berries where ripe.

it grows a lot in the country landscape here near Rome, i don't know the name but i remember that the fruits become red/orange..the leafs have got a little fur on their surface..the flowers are white and little.

i can't help you more than this

Search all the Solanum spp. and you will find what exactly it is.
It is a Solanum though and I understood it from it's berries.

I have never seen an experience with Solanum...

Nope. Not poison. This is not the atropa belladonna. This is BlackBerry nightshade. The unripe fruit isnt too good but the ripe fruit is a good source of vitamins A & C ✔

Tip: Eat it in front of people who think its poisonous to get a kick :hehehe:
