HD Unknown Cacti ID please :)
    #2145943 - 11/30/03 06:01 AM (14 years, 4 months ago)

Found this pair at Home Depot and was wondering if anyone could help me ID them.

The taller one is 4'' in height with very small spines. Spines start off with a white fuzzy like base and the spines appear completely black and very small.
They also have a kind of residue on them which rubs off to reveal a darker green skin.

6 point star formations.

They appear similar to these HD id's from THIS thread

(these were IDed as a "Myrtles")

But they also look like this:

posted HERE

I'm new to the cacti area and thought these looked suspect.

Thanks!

So would you say that the main difference between Myrtles and San Pedros are the notches?

The main difference is between this and the other thread.

To the untrained eye, they look like the same thing.
After looking at some pics on erowid I think I've come up with some key differences.
The hunt continues...

The spines on San Pedro cacti are at a 45 degree angle.
