The Matias Romero was the first strain I ever cultivated. I purchased the syringe from http://www.amazing-nature.com Matias Romero is a great strain if you do a good job of casing you will harvest a lot of small fruits which accumulate into a ton of shrooms. also the matias romero is potent so it is a good choice.

jelly jars do colonize slowly, but they dont get contaminated as easily (with vermiculite layer on top)

This isn't his first attempt at growing. He already has some mushies. This is just a new project. Those pics were 4-5 days after innoculation. Thick healthy mycelium. They seem to be progressing alright to JJ. JJ also ground his own flour. So besides the fact that JJ has no contams out of all 20 jars, it's OK. So fuck off Non-Functional before I make your legs live up to your name!
