Is PF Classic (aka Matias Romero) a slow germinator?

I am wondering what the average time from inoculation to germination is for PFC (Matias Romero). Is it one of the slower strains? What about in an incubator, and at room temp?
And once it germinates, how long does PFC typically take to colonize the entire PF-style jar?
Thanks

Never grew them PF style, but they were very fast colonizers on grain.

pF can indeed be a slow germinator...usually 4 days is the minimum to see myc, sometimes as long as nine days, especially if its cold... I find that they like 86 degrees, but they give off a lot of heat themselves while germinating, so putting them in a 78- 80 degree environment will keep them happy... any warmer than that and growth will slow dramatically...
the whole jar is usually colonised by the 11th or 12th day, but i've seen it take as long as 30 days...

Thanks for the answers guys. One last question: is Matias Romero pretty forgiving and pretty contam-resistant, or does it contam fairly easily and is picky with regards to temperature? I know that this strain is known to highly favor jars, so I figure that maybe it also strongly favors a specific temperature.
Thanks.

Naw, the temps are the same as anyother cube. Contam resistance wasn't a issue at the time I didn't see any so I can't comment on the rest.
