bunk address?

so i get mail to my house under names of people who used to live there like all the time.  would ordering under their name to my address cover my ass?

never heard of a redirect and don't see how that would happen if I'm already getting their mail. I'm pretty sure the address dictates the name on where the mail is supposed to be delivered to

When you move you can put in a change of address.. It's pretty common that not all your mail will get forwarded for whatever reason. While you're still getting their mail, it may not be ALL their mail. So your package could be one that gets sent.

And no it won't really cover your ass. If whoever is watching the mail and waiting to see who receives and opens the package, then you're fucked. Firstly because it's a federal offense to open someone else's mail. Secondly if you open it and they decide to check into your history, they'll see YOU ordered it, and not them.

use your own name and your own address and don't sign for the package or receive it in person, let them leave it.

Make sure that whatever your payment method is, it is anonymous. 

if you aren't using anonymous payment methods for illegal items then you are a dumbass and you shouldn't even continue reading the advice below.

write "return to sender" on the outside and have the maturity to leave it unopened sitting by the door for a week or so.


Make sure that your "drop spot" (delivery address) is 100% clean in the event of a raid, hang up a cross or two for good measure if you want.
