Eastern Cauliflower? & other finds SC Pa.
    #18643254 -

#1 Sparassis herbstii? eastern cauliflower#2 amanita virosa? destroying angel #3 honey? #4 same as #3 #5 & 6 velvet foot pax paxillus atrotomemtosus
The reason I thought that # 3 and 4 were honeys is that they were growing in a cluster from a rotten log and the spore print was whitish. They say the eastern cauliflower is edible....has anyone tried these...mine is still in fridge( fyi...it was found under a white pine in forest.) Thanks everyone for help.

i would agree on all except on 3 and 4 - looks like but better be careful with armilaria because they are so variable in appearence, i made big mistake once to mix them with omphalotus olearius, it was one of worst experiences in my life...

Amanita bisporigera is the destroying angel of the eastern U.S. The last ones are now called Tapinella atromentosa.

Have you or do you know of anyone that has eaten the cauliflower fungi? Just curious.
