War, what is it good for?
    #18551689 -

The first 5 minutes are bullshit, but it gets better.

Do you think it's fucked up our own people would rather stay in their own lives/social circles, then even go out and so much as walk around for a few hours just to protest this stuff, maybe I don't know once a decade without any guarantee of success?

Why would I want to get profiled and tear gassed by my government to accomplish absolutely nothing?

You already are being profiled as you're on a computer, if they use tear gas you could just put one of the canisters upside down in a refillable water container and it'll cancel out.

I should have clarified, it doesn't get much done in the US. This isn't Brazil.

I'll bet that's what lots of people in Brazil said too. And Syria. And Egypt.

A hundred years ago workers rights were established through protest, 40 years ago Jim Crow laws were brought down as well. Those are just two famous examples. America is not an exception

I should clarify my clarification. I wasn't suggesting that protest has never been effective in the US, simply that it is no longer effective. OWS didnt result in much. People protested the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan to no effect. Maybe they've been effective IRT certain social issues. Just my opinion, don't let me stop you from assembling.
