How do you justify your drug use?

Most people these days rarely do things without having some excuse for doing them. Others, just compensate their vices with other good activities. How do you justify/compensate your drug use? Do you regard it as a right? Do you just don't care? Do you only care for having fun in this world?

Id say I fall in the "I dont care" category.  But thats not true because I have adjusted my drug use to get grades back under control.

So i dont know

Well I eat a good dose of mushrooms once a month or every 2 months.. I eat some tramadol from time to time when working, just for energy.
I guess I don't do much justifying. I just do the shrooms because they open my mind, and the tramadol so I get more done, I don't smoke or drink anything.

How do I justify it? It doesn't need justification or an excuse. To think you need an excuse to use drugs is to buy into the nonsense propaganda of DARE. :nono:

Everything we do as humans is in an attempt to alter our bodily chemistry in a way that is pleasing to us. Eating, sex, exercise, sleep, hobbies, learning, working, buying things that interest us, etc all are things that we do that are reinforced by a change in brain chemistry. So your question is a lot like asking: "how do you justify having sex?" or "how do you justify engaging in hobbies?"

The way I view the use of drugs eliminates the need for justification.  Sounds like you think you're doing something you shouldn't?

Hmm I guess spiritual exploration is another one.
@JoieDeVivre Many would argue that doing drugs is a selfish activity. It many times produces nothing. Hobbies and other social activities however...

I dont need to justify it. Justify implies theres something negative about it that I gotta compensate for somehow. How do you justify eating, or fucking? You dont, its just something we do.

For many people the pleasure produced is enough justification. Inhibitions makes us seek justification. Drugs make those inhibitions go away so many people never question their use.

For me it's just like a really long lasting oxy, some people say it doesn't do anything for them though:shrug:

Think of an energetic opiate, with no side-effects, and all-day energy.
But not as powerful as a typical opiate, just good clean energy and clear mindedness.

Just go to your doc and say you have a toothache and you've tried everything, but only Tramadol worked.
I have an unlimited supply :lol:
