Psilocybe mexicana/A-Strain where the fook?

Hi all, so just recently thanks to Stonesun i have been really keen to try get some sclerotia producing species, wow i had no idea it would be  a hard task with all the spore vendors but apparently no one seems to have Psilocybe mexicana/A-Strain in stock, i could settle for P. galindoi
but mexicana/A just rung bells with me with its location and history:

This is the sacred Teonanacatl or God's Flesh in the Aztec language. Rediscovered by Roger Heim in 1956 and used by Dr. Albert Hoffman in the first isolation of psilocybin and psilocin.

Anything hailing from Mexico and being psychedelic just hinders my attention due to my first mushroom trip and seeing the mayan calender

If i can't get my hands on mexicana/A i will have to settle for Psilocybe mexicana : Jalisco

Although upon inspection i can't seem to find differnces between Jalisco and mexicana/A  Anyone shed any light on this??

just look around, some vendor will definitely have it.

as for the diffrence between jalisco, mexicana and a - u can find the diffrence under microscope.

so Jalisco would be a good candidate in both the sclerotia producing area and fruiting? i assume this as meicana/A is known to fruit successfully

as i read from shroomery yes. but if you want to make mushrooms u will have to make good fc as they require high rh and lots of fae.

as i read workman (the guy from sporeworks) suggests atl7 . the nicknames for atl7 suggest that it produces lots of sclerotia (nickname from freespore is truffleking, nickname from sporeworks is big sclerotia). thats why i think this one is the most spread sclerotia species; therefore you will get it more easily on market than other strains; therefore buy some other sclerotia producing spores.

thats my view about it but dont take me for a word

Jalisco is noted for its low sclerotia production isolation would be necessary. If you are after truffles i wouldn't recommend it. If you have your heart set on mexA then i would post something in the market. Atl7 is great even just using mulitspores it colonized fast (for sclerotia species that is) compared to the multispore Mexican a strain, which yields much better with agar work
