Heh, I know the guys who were doing the Rutherford show.

I was in Hamilton Township in Atlantic County. That show was a beast of a show. First day we got there and we had a 24 foot truck filled from front to back with racks that chest high. We shot something like 2,500+ shells that night, it took us 30 minutes to set them all off. The show itself took us about a total of 12-15 hours to set up.

I'm going to be doing 4 more shows this week. Wednesday I'm gonna be down near Red Bank, Thursday I will be at a town in North Jersey(one of the Caldwells I think?), so let me know if you wanna go. No clue where I'm at this weekend yet though.

We can get blockbusters and m-80s (salutes with between 5 grams to 10 grams of flash powder) pretty easily in NYC area.

I love fireworks, but I don't really have anywhere to light them.  Just gonna watch them this year.

We can only get firecrackers and stationary (non-rocket) works in the state nearby.  Too bad because my favorite is a simple bottle-rocket with report.  Cheap, fun, and relatively safe, but nope.  I just have a few strips of crackers, exploding osama heads (kinda redundant these days), and maybe a roman candle.  I'm wondering if they'll become even more restriced because that is how the Boston Marathon bombs were made.

Fapjack you should come to the show on Wednesday, it's probably not too far from you. It's at some snooty country club, but I'll check with the guy in charge and see if you can come watch it down were the crew hangs out.

Yeah that's what we used to use, petroleum ether I think. The best one we made had something like a 1 1/4" barrel and a 4" diameter chamber, with a spark plug hooked up to a piezo thing from a lighter. Might still be in my parents' garage somewhere.

You shouldnt light fireworks in a car of course :grin:

If you in the open field stand 3m away from a cobra 6 with ear & eye protection, nothing happens but an awesome whack to the chest.

They dont detonate, they just burn really fast.
