You see, I suspect you guys are actually OK with spammers. The more registered users you have the better it looks when selling advertising space. Which co-indecently enough is why I suspect you guys don't delete inactive/banned users.

Come on man, that has to be the stupidest thing I've heard you say. You really think automated bots or abandoned accounts have any value to our sponsors? They care about click-throughs and unique impressions, not the number of user accounts we have. :tongue: Usually I see where you're coming from with your criticism but this is some conspiracy-forum shit right here. You should see how many unique spammers we've automatically detected, reported, and blocked before they could even register. (For the lazy: it's 71,364 at the moment.) And that's just the ones who weren't already present in a blocklist like Stop Forum Spam, Botscout, or Akismet! Hell we even show this screen to new users from questionable locales. It's always a challenge, but I think we do okay!
