Need help identifying poppy sprouts i got from grandma. * 1
    #18296027 -

So a month ago, i went to the cabin with grandma and grandpa to help change the tires on mum's and their car, grandma gave me some seeds, i saw she had a bunch of poppy pods, so i asked if i could have one, and the sprouts look surprisingly like my papaver somniferum from last year i think it was, here are some pics, might be too early to tell, idk.
Or do all poppy sprouts look the same?

Bad quality, i know, my phone's camera isn't exactly the best. That one is around 1 month old or so.
The other shit in the pot are marigold and tagetes.

So yeah, i just wanna know if the seeds she gave me were somniferum seeds.

I would of asked grandma if I could have had those pods for ornamental purposes after they drop their petals

It's really hard to tell right now. I would either wait till it grows some more or I would ask Grandma if the seeds she gave you are the same as the poppy she has growing.

I'm growing marigolds too by the way.

You have one cool granny! You should start an ethnogarden with her!

I asked her what poppies they are and she didn't know, but she's had some over winter at teh cabin, she put them inside during the winter months, so she'll have some by the summer, so i'll definitely ask for some if they are somniferum.

Yeah, she really isn't cool, she's helping us renovating the kitchen, she's moaning about everything every single day, makes me wanna kill someone lol

That is definitely P. Somniferum. Well done. However, I’m not sure about those other plants growing around your poppy seedling. They look like beans or something. You need some better photos. Quality isn’t great though I know for sure that you definitely have a P. Somniferum sprout amidst those other plants :goodluck:
