Honestly, traveling alone in the states & traveling abroad is apples and oranges. Don't use your money up in the states - save it and go abroad.
And while I, too, wanted to travel with somebody else, I'm really glad I went alone. I meet so many more people than if I were to be with a friend. I've spent days with incredible people that I simply wouldn't have spoken with if I were with a companion.

Greetings from Rishikesh! Tied for my favorite place along with McLeod Ganj. The scene here is sick. Smoking joints on cushion floor seating at rooftop restaurants listening to live sitar surrounded by people you're more likely to see at a Furthur concert than anywhere else. Pretty cool. Here's a picture of Laxman Jhula bridge over the Ruver Ganges. And somewhere in that river lies half of Jerry's ashes

I still have the world famous Manali cream charas I got 10 days ago. When that runs out, I'm going to cry. Literally everybody who smokes it loves it, but nobody has or can find anything nearly as good.

Low? High? Really high. Charas isn't hash, completely different making process. It has the hash color, but if you were to feel it, it's more like goo than the hard hash consistency.


E: or do you mean prices? I'm paying 4 bucks a gram average.

Yeah this is straight from the Himalayas. 150 miles further downriver from Rishikesh though, the water will be smelling of piss and shit, and be brown.

E: not that I'll see it. I greatly overestimated how much I could do in 2 months. After this I have time for Nepal, and 1 or 2 India cities until its my time to go
