snakes vs. spiders
    #18140628 -

What do you find scarier? I personally see spiders as the physical manifestation of fear and destruction, and privacy invasion. Snakes are actually pretty cool in my opinion, but maybe i don't have enough hissssstory of running into snakes as a child.
Which is scarier?

Neither are scary they are both great creatures. They eat pests like bugs and rodents.

I think snakes are pretty cool, don't understand why so many people are afraid of them.

Spiders, meh, I wouldn't like to find one in my bed but I don't really care either  They're pretty useful animals

I fear spiders.

My mom grew up in South Africa and apparently there were a lot of snakes, so she hates snakes. I just think they're kinda cool.

I'm not really afraid of either as they generally try to leave you alone if they can.  That being said though, there are a lot more species of snakes that can kill you than spiders.

I love snakes. I have a pet snake and have caught well over 1,000 snakes. I've also owned a few tarantulas and spiders (black widows, wolf spiders, etc). So I guess you could say I'm not afraid of either one.

That said, if I'm laying in bed and a snake crawls over me my reaction would be "Hey that's awesome, snake in my house." If a spider crawls over me I'm gonna scream like a little girl and kill that fucker.

:whathesaid: Spiders kinda freak me out, I don't like them. Hate having them in my house, they are fine outside, when they come in is when they die.

I don't fear either of them, but what gumby said.

If a spider is crawling on me, I would flip out

I used to see spiders the exact same way but after some time I realized that,

As long as they keep their distance I don't mind them.  If I find one in the corner, away from where I'll be stepping, I leave it alone.  I still think spiders look gross though.... I think all bugs look gross (they can be cool too, but always automatically gross).

And I'll see a snake in the wild once every 5 years where I live so I don't really care.  They're pretty cool.

Yeah if a spider isn't on me, I don't have the freakout reaction where I kill them. I've found several spiders in my apartment and left them alone. They're in here eatin bugs, so I'll let them do their thing as long as they don't bite me. I've been bitten by spiders several times and it always sucks. All spiders have venom. Most snakes, on the other hand, are nonvenomous.

Are you more afraid of spiders or bed bugs?

Can't really vote on them since I really don't find them scary.

Although, in the real world I do have a slight fear of finding a rattlesnake, or should I say having a rattle snake find me before I find it. Granted that works out for me since I tend to be more aware of possible snake traps.

a spider could scare even the bravest of warriors.

fear of snakes and spiders is just about the same for me. the bigger and uglier, the more i am intimidated by them, and the more likely to jump off my seat to pick up my dress when i see one of them on the floor.

Bed bugs man. The thought of having them in my place is terrifying. They're almost impossible to get rid of.
