Spending Government/Welfare/Dole Money on Weed

I saw a show once on the patterns of weed buying. The cops said that most of the shit moves at the beginning of the month--because that's when welfare checks go out.

Now, this is pure, uncut, unadulterated bullshit.

The working class is not paying taxes to support the drug habits of the people that don't work.

Yeah, that does sound like bullshit. Some people on welfare do buy weed, but it seems very improbable to me that they buy the majority of weed sold.

The working class is paying taxes to pay to support those that don't work so that those who don't work don't have to steal from/attack/murder those who can afford food and shelter as a result of being part of the working class.

Want to buy weed while you're out of work?  Fine in my book.  Stoned people are too lazy or incompetent to successfully complete a crime.  light it up!

Not gonna lie. I did that once. But you know when being poor and living in a trailer that was falling apart with assholes (either that or be homeless) I decided that day that I'd rather get high rather than eat. Because being high makes the situation suck a little less at times and is more effective than food at some times. Such a despicable human being I am.

All my money to weed goes on the 2nd week and last week of the month, but I work.

People on welfare don't buy weed. They trade food stamps /EBT money for drugs/alcohol.

Except it's probably only a small percentage that use welfare money to buy drugs.  In Florida, they started their famous "welfare drug testing program", where you had to pass a piss test to get benefits.

That program was discontinued because such a small percentage of people tested positive, it wasn't cost effective.  LINKY.

So at least in Florida, spending welfare money on drugs isn't all that common.
