What makes life so valuable?

Hello shroomery!

To start with, I have been thinking a lot about purpose of life, how we should "do something" with our lives, get a degree, decent job, get married, have children and so on. We must fear death, cancer, sickness and so on. Money cant buy life but it is very valuable.

But I didnt ask to be born. I dont remember being born and to me life is something that fell into my hands. I just live. And my parents , well, they just followed their instincts. I have been doing the same thing and almoust became father myself. Its not hard, to make children as you all know.

And if I didnt knew I'm gonna die some day, this whole life would be cheap and annoying proccess. It would be hell if we were stuck here forever. Soon everything fun would become routine.

Am I right if I say that life is a gift and only thing that makes it valuable is death?

Even death doesn't make it valuable for some.  Life is only good if your distractions are good.

What makes life so valuable?  Really couldn't answer that question...  I can tell you what in life is valuable, but not why life itself is.  Maybe it's the other miserable lives of people you encounter that makes your own miserable life valuable or somewhat purposeful.

Things I learned so far is:
1) homo sapiens is like hornet around honey when it comes to money
2) girls look awesome for limited time
3) weed loses its psychoactive purposes
4) when its winter, dont leave hand break on your car at night.
5) you will meet smart people on shroomery not in university. read this forum, collect the knowledge that old psy farts have to share and you will have good time.

I cant decide whether life is vaulable or not, or even how much value it has as i have nothing to compare it to.

Life holds whatever value you place on it. There's no readily-seen inherent value or purpose to basically anything.

"Value" is so subjective, it"s difficult to respond in a way that has any meaning at all.

IME, the ability to value Life just the way it is, rough or smooth, fun or hellish, is the real means of truly enjoying Life on Earth. There is no such thing as an easy time here; even the elite get bitten by mosquitoes, get the flu, etc..

It's up to you to assign value to your life and your experiences. I'll give you a personal example. As I write this, I have the flu, feeling awful, fever, etc., but I'm not bitching and moaning about it. My daily life is quite busy, and this is an opportunity to relax and really care for myself. It's just sad that it takes the flu to remind me to slow down. So I really value being ill, as it's serving to remind me that nothing is so important that I should sacrifice my well-being.

So being able to value all experiences allows for a much deeper, more satisfying experience of Life.

But whatever, this is just my perpective, and it's only worth what you paid for it.
