looking for more Jam Bands to listen to.

So like the title says, I am looking for more jam music to listen to.
I am not talking main stream national acts, I want local bands that just kick some serious ass that I can find live recording of online without a torrent. (sorry, my computer is down and I cant load a torrent program in my roommates computer) Archive.org would be great.
So what I am looking for, local, and amazing, I cant stress the amazing part enough.
Who is that guitar player that just blows your mind every time he plays, the drummer that makes your feet move like no other, The bands that "should" be national but wont or cant for whatever reason.
My local band is Max Creek (hence my handle) and their live recordings can be found here.
Show me the music. I am getting bored with the local stuff here and need more.

They're not mainstream,but their like bigger jam bands from around the world.Witch has J. Mascis on drums so not sure if that's mainstream or what.But witch kicks ass

Ok so Acid Mother's Temple was ok but a bit too acid like for my mood right now, other moods it will be fine but just not now.
I could not find the spacious mind on archive, nor could I find LSD there.
Witch is pretty good and I am about to search for the search for God. Nope, no Search For God on there either.
Thanks.
Anyone have any more bands to turn me on to?
Im from Southern New England so if they are from that area I probably have heard of them at least.

There are some that I can't think of names right now I'm in a rush. I'll post back later.

I also assume you know most of the bands around this side of the states that play places like wormtown and such.

Yeah i go to wormtown, vibes, strange creek, and a few of the other semi local festies.
I love most of the bands that I see around here. We have a great scene going on.
Creek is fairly close to me on the 23rd. Cant wait to see them again.

The fritz and chroma from Jacksonville FL and the magic beans and tatanka from Colorado. All four bands are extremely talented. I would say more so than the more popular lower tier jam. Able minds is also SUPER DOPE. I believe they are based out of Denver.

That's the closest show to me (hr) but I'm a year under the age limit :frown:

But I'd don't mind the two hour straight shot up 91 to White River Junction on 3/30. Made the trip up to that area in Dec for some DSO and it was great!

Considering the Met too I've never been.

My current favorites that are starting to get bigger are Perpetual Groove, Dopapod and Kung Fu. For smaller acts in NJ area we have Turtle Soup, The juggling Suns, and a lot of really good dead cover bands. What are some bands you like now?

Check out Mos Scocious. Not only are they musically talented, but their lyrics are clever and witty as well. A few others: Brainchild, Goose Doctor, and Old Shoe. Hope you enjoy.
