Jesus was a Shitbag Liar & Conman

If this person Jesus Christ did exist, and we take many of these stories about him at face value, he amounts to nothing more than a liar and conman, and at best, a well-intentioned one.

However, in his alleged attempt to show people the right way to live or something along those lines, Jesus gave people lies. These lies, if they were indeed his, have scarred human thought to this day. These lies have blocked people from experiencing reality free from distortions in their thought brought on by faith in utter falsities such as a high-moral imperative and an anthropomorphic,and while singular, an all too familiarly pagan god.

Jesus (if he did exist as is told), like some, thought that if lies resulted in comfort or safety, that the ends justified the means. Even notwithstanding historical failures of Christian morality, on a personal level, the religion deliberately obscures a person's observation of reality through bending it through a lens which is distorted by belief.


And this disease of thought, if one would compliment it as such, like any untrue belief system (or just belief system) leads others to plant it in other human beings, spreading it such that what once seems farcical is suddenly backed by popular appeal. Jesus, if he was responsible, really did his best fighting the uphill battle from obscurity to eventually convincing the first wave of people to believe in his lies. For this, he can be seen as somewhat courageous. But the value of courage, especially when it comes to the deliberate falsity of a vain attempt to cure humanity with a moral code based on lies, can be debated.

Some who do not even believe the nonsense will still apologize for Christ. While he could be forgiven as any ignorant human, his intentions might have been pure, but he was still a liar. Even if someone wants to make the argument he may have not purposely lied, at best, he still proclaimed many things to be true which only he seemed to be privy to.

He's saying that good or bad, your wishes will be answered, there is no judgement. According to Christianity, Jesus was once asked when the kingdom of God would come. The Bible is not understandable to those who have not been born again, by the Word of God, and the Holy Spirit.  The unregenerate are spiritually dead, and have no ability to discern spiritual things.  They mangle the scriptures as proof that they are unregenerate and lost.

Jesus is the truth, deal with it.

Do you really think that statements that are so completely lacking in material claims as these are can qualify as lies? There are probably many churches which could be sued for lies because of the way they interpreted and preached about those statements. But the statements alone at most qualify as bullshit as far as I can see.

He said if you keep on asking you'll get what you asked for.  If you ask to get the impossible asking forever won't do it.  It's very plain while you are hedging.

What I meant with bullshit = abstract nonsense. If there are no clear claims, if you can't really be sure what someone is actually saying, then what is the lie?
