Never will happen the only way the military will do anything in this country is if some one in power tries to do away with the Constitution as you take an oath to uphold it and all enemies foreign and domestic.

Its not like there is a switch that makes people in the military do what they told by the president and I can guarantee you if he gave orders to take guns away by force the military wouldn't be backing the asshat in Washington

Far fetched scenarios are more fun if you start thinking about them objectively while accepting the the far fetched premise. Which is:

The US army has been ordered to take over the civilian population by force and every soldier is complying. How would the civilian win this war?

And then comes the serious thinking about plausible strategies civilians could use, the communication chains, the logistics etc. Could be fun.

There are a lot of people saying this, but what if the Occupy movement suddenly gained momentum and instead of army vs civilian, it was jingoist servicemen vs good-for-nothing hippie scum. There seems to be quite a division in this country, I don't think it's that far-fetched to imagine a scenario in which two sides squared off against each other. Of course, I've got my backpack on and am heading to the wilderness to avoid all of the fighting cuz I'm a peacenik.

Anyway, this thread and several others shows the division between sides and I don't like it. :2cents:
